Who we are

The data controller is Kleverr eSports Association (“Kleverr E-sporta Biedrība”), registration No. 400083298441, Slokas iela 142-27, Rīga, LV-1069, Latvia. We have not appointed a separate data protection officer. Privacy requests go to sandis@kleverr.gg or +371 28805093.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to personal data processed when you use our public websites and apps that we operate, including kleverr.gg, kleverr.lv, league.kleverr.gg, and related test or staging hosts we control. It covers browsing, accounts, League settings, tournament registration, teams, the player market, news, statistics, and informational betting pages. Staff backoffice processing for our own operations follows the same controller; those tools are not a public service.

What data we collect

Depending on how you use Kleverr, we may process: • Account data: email and password (if you have a password account), Google account identifiers used to sign in (we do not store or display Google profile photos), display name, about text, date of birth, country or settlement, and avatar you choose. First name, last name, age, and settlement are shown on your public player page when you fill them in. The full date of birth is not published; we use it only to calculate age and to check a tournament minimum age. • Linked game accounts: FACEIT player ID and nickname if you sign in with FACEIT or link it. The Steam ID on that FACEIT profile is stored at the same time when FACEIT has one. FACEIT email is stored only when it is different from your login email, and it is removed when you unlink FACEIT. Steam is not a public sign-in method. • CS2 inventory: when a player profile has a Steam ID and the inventory is public, we read the CS2 skin list from Valve and store weapon, finish, and quantity. Those skins are shown on statistics and on that player's page. We do not store prices, trade offers, or payment data. • Player and team data: nicknames, roles, rosters, team names, FACEIT/Steam IDs that already exist from tournament imports, free-agent listing text, and match statistics. • Tournament data: registrations, roster confirmations, invitations, and related messages. • Technical data: IP address, browser and device data, and security logs. • Cookie and analytics data, only if you allow optional cookies (see the Cookie policy). Some player, team, and match records also come from FACEIT tournament imports and public match feeds (for example BO3.gg), not only from an account you create. We publish those competitive records (nickname, team, results, statistics) so people can follow Baltic esports. A person who has not created an account can object by emailing sandis@kleverr.gg. We do not sell personal data.

Why we use data and how long we keep it

We process personal data only when a GDPR legal basis applies: • Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): creating and running your account, linking Steam/FACEIT, teams, tournament registration, and player-market listings you request. • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): operating and securing the site and preventing abuse. Publishing public competitive information — nicknames, teams, match results, and statistics, including players imported from FACEIT who never created a Kleverr account — because that coverage is the point of the site. Reading a public CS2 inventory from Valve and showing skins on statistics and player pages when a Steam ID is on the profile, because equipment coverage is part of the same esports reporting. You may object where this basis applies. • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): optional analytics and advertising measurement cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful use. • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): where we must keep records (for example accounting or responding to a lawful request). How long we keep data: • Account and profile data (login, email, legal name, date of birth, settlement, about text): while the account exists. Email sandis@kleverr.gg to close it. We delete the account within one month. If a dispute or legal claim is open, we may keep the minimum needed until 30 days after that claim ends. • Public match results, rankings, and roster history stay as the competition record, shown by nickname. Deleting an account removes the login, email, legal name, date of birth, and settlement. It does not erase match results. • FACEIT email: only while it differs from the login email. Removed when FACEIT is unlinked. A daily job clears a copy that matches the login email. • Steam inventory snapshots: while that Steam ID remains on the player profile. A daily job deletes them within one day after the Steam ID is removed. • Sign-in sessions: deleted when they expire (30 days). • Backoffice audit records: 12 months, then deleted. • We do not store web server access logs in the application database. • Analytics cookies follow the periods in the Cookie policy.

Whether you have to provide data

Signing in requires a Google or FACEIT identity. If you do not provide it, we cannot create an account or keep you signed in. First name, last name, date of birth, country, settlement, and about text are optional. If you leave them empty, the public player page does not show a legal name, age, or settlement, and a tournament with a minimum age cannot treat you as old enough. Tournament registration requires a signed-in account and the team or player you submit. If you do not submit, you are not entered. Signing in or linking FACEIT also stores the Steam ID attached to that FACEIT profile when FACEIT has one. If the CS2 inventory for that Steam ID is public, we read it from Valve. A Steam ID already stored on a player from a tournament import can still be used for match coverage and, when the inventory is public, for skin statistics.

Who we share data with

We share data only as needed to run the service: • Google (sign-in, and Tag Manager / Analytics if you allow optional cookies). • Valve / Steam when we read a public CS2 inventory for a Steam ID that came from FACEIT or was already on a player, and FACEIT when you sign in with FACEIT or link it, and when we sync official match or championship data from FACEIT for tournaments we run. • Hosting, database, and media storage providers that process data on our instructions in the EEA or under an approved transfer tool (including cloud object storage for images you or staff upload). • Twitch or similar platforms only if a page loads their embed or we fetch public stream status. • Licensed betting operators only when you click through from an odds or operator link; we do not send them your account profile unless you choose to visit their site. • Authorities if the law requires it. Public player, team, match, and news pages are visible to anyone on the internet.

Transfers outside the EEA

Some providers (notably Google, Steam, FACEIT, and certain cloud or CDN services) may process data in the United States or other countries outside the EEA. Where that happens we rely on an adequacy decision (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified) and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, plus the provider’s security measures. You can ask us for more detail at sandis@kleverr.gg.

Cookies and similar storage

We use strictly necessary cookies and similar storage (for example localStorage) for sign-in, language, country/region chrome, theme, and remembering your cookie choice. Optional Google cookies load only after you accept them. Full names, purposes, and durations are in the Cookie policy. You can change optional cookies from that page or the cookie banner.

Children

We do not check age when you sign in with Google or FACEIT. The site is a general esports service and is not directed at children. If a child has an account, email sandis@kleverr.gg and we will delete that account. Informational betting pages and operator links are for adults (18+). We do not use children's data for marketing.

Your rights

If EU or EEA law applies, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection (including to legitimate-interest processing), and data portability where technically feasible. You can also withdraw cookie consent at any time. We do not take solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects (GDPR Art. 22). We will answer without undue delay and within one month (extendable by two months for complex requests, as allowed by the GDPR). We may need to verify your identity. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority, including: • Latvia — Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija), dvi.gov.lv • Estonia — Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon), aki.ee • Lithuania — State Data Protection Inspectorate (VDAI), vdai.lrv.lt The lead authority for our controller is the Latvian DVI, but you may always contact the authority in your country of residence.
